Rode PodMic White
The PodMic was specifically designed for voice recordings with the RDECaster Pro (the menu of the RDECaster Pro already includes an optimally fitting preset that can be selected in no time). Thanks to its standard three-pin XLR connector, the PodMic is equally suitable for broadcast, radio play, and dubbing studios. The heavy (937 g) speaking microphone has a professional dynamic cardioid capsule and a dedicated swivel mount, allowing it to be attached to a table stand (DS1) or swivel arm (PSA1) and then easily directed towards the speaker. One can confidently forgo the use of a shock mount: the microphone capsule itself is elastically suspended, and the swivel mount is internally decoupled from the housing, so you won't have any problems with handling noise, e.g., from the work desk.
The frequency response of the PodMic has been perfectly tuned for speech transmission with 50 Hz to 13 kHz. The sound of the PodMic is detailed, full, silky, balanced, and always pleasant to listen to, whether during a gentle recitation of poetry or an exciting sports commentary.
The double-layered pop shield made of stainless steel and a fabric mesh covering the capsule effectively attenuate plosives and sibilant sounds without compromising transparency an external pop filter is not needed. The housing of the PodMic is made of solid brass and coated with a scratch-resistant ceramic layer, ensuring that it looks tidy even after years.
