Description
The 10GBASE-T SFP+ transceiver module provides the flexibility and port density known from the SFP+ form factor and uses structured UTP cables from Cat 6a for network connections. It is a performance-optimized solution for lengths up to 30 meters, offering a minimum energy savings of at least 0.5 W per port compared to an equivalent embedded 10GBASE-T RJ45 for the same length (Cat 6a up to 30 m). These energy savings can add up in ToR, Mid-Row, and End-of-Row switch connectivity.
It is an alternative compared to standard SFP+ SR/LR fiber optics, which use standard-based technology with the well-known RJ45 connector and provide backward compatibility with older networks.
